Chair's Message

Dear Members and Friends,
I am honored to be serving as the Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Bangalore Chapter. The Bangalore Chapter is a vibrant community of engineers, researchers, and students passionate about the field of signal processing. Our chapter plays a vital role in fostering collaboration, professional development, and knowledge sharing within the signal processing community in Karnataka.

In my role as Chair, I am committed to building upon the chapter’s strong foundation and continuing to provide valuable resources and programs for our members. Here are some of my key priorities:

  • Expand educational offerings: We will organize Seasonal school, SPS Forum, workshops, lectures, and tutorials featuring leading experts in various areas of signal processing.
  • Promote networking and collaboration: We will host events that provide opportunities for members to connect with each other, share ideas, and explore potential collaborations.
  • Support student members: We will continue to offer programs and resources specifically tailored to the needs of students pursuing careers in signal processing.
  • Engage with industry: We will work to bridge the gap between academia and industry by organizing events that bring together researchers and industry professionals.
  • Enhance Social Media and web: We will ensure the strong presence of SPS Bangalore Chapter across all the social media and websites and reach the right audience for our society.
  • Membership Development: We will work with our team to increase the membership of both students and professionals (Academician and Industry experts) and also increase the number of chapters. 
  • ICASSP 2025: We will be hosting the 50th year o ICASSP 2025 at HICC, Hyderabad in April 2025. To ensure all the members in India take benefit of this premier International conference with maximum participation we will be organising a series of Satellite Events.

I am excited to work with the chapter’s dedicated team of volunteers to achieve these goals. I encourage all members to actively participate in our chapter activities and contribute to our continued success.
